Michael Le Nike’s affinity for retro schemes is no more evident than it is now, breathing the 90s era of design onto many of its classics, with the Air Max 97 fittingly receiving palettes akin to the “Have A Nike Day” series from just a few months prior. Largely more ordinary than the ones out of the pack, the pair receives less of the over-branded treatment and allows it focal tones to do the talking. White mudguards add a strong neutral base, cascading upwards into deep purple unders and stark black piping. Tongues follow the same darkened hue with accents of purple and blue scattered throughout the thin leather ornaments while the inside cushioning of the air bubble poke through in extremely loud pink pigments.
