Nike’s New Swoosh Chain Pack Features ’70s-Inspired Color Schemes

Nike’s New Swoosh Chain Pack Features ’70s-Inspired Color Schemes

Nike and Foot Locker, Inc are pulling out all the stops to pay homage to the famous Nike Swoosh with special collections this summer, one of which is the Swoosh Chain Pack for kids. Made up of new takes on the Air Max 97, Air Max Plus, and Air Force 1 Low, the Swoosh Chain Pack looks to both classic athletic apparel and bold colors from the ’70s — the decade that Nike’s famous mark was originally created in — for inspiration. Equipping each shoe with an eye-catching palette of blue, orange, and red tones, the special graphics then arrive via multi-colored Swoosh “taping,” a detail that offers repeating, interlinking hits for a nod to details on vintage tracksuits. There’s also removable Velcro accents for extra style. Each pair interprets this compelling ethos in its own unique way: the AM97 places two rows of taping on its signature swooping side panels and offers removable accents on the cut-out midfoot underlay, the AM Plus runs taping down its throat and offers a Velcro patch on the tongue, and last but not least the AF1 presents taping directly above the midsole, and a removable midfoot Swoosh. All three pairs will release on August 17th exclusively at Foot Locker, Inc’s expanded network of stores, each of which is listed in the buying guide directly below. Check out all three pairs right here, and stay tuned for more info on other impending Nike/FL projects as well.
