Closer Look At The Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “New Beginnings”

Certainly one of the most exciting things about 2020, the newly crafted Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 has more than vintage lovers and Jordan Brand devotees in a frenzy. Bearing nostalgia in spades, the pair is just one piece to a full launch alongside the Air Ship’s revival: a two-part package that will retail for $350 USD together. Alongside a shared box, the somewhat newer model takes on the very same colorway with its retro-esque red overlays and somewhat standard white base. But the scheme itself is not what makes the pair already so coveted — as seen in full by way of Dylan Ratner‘s scenic photoshoot, the construction is quite true-to-form relative to the originals, or at least, as close as we can get now more than three decades after. Side profiles give way to a sleeker silhouette from the toe box to the entire heel with ankles seemingly slimmed down and given height compared to more recent Jordan 1 releases. If you’re like us and are hoping to grab your hands on a set for yourself, keep it locked in as these are likely to see the light of day come All Star Weekend in February.
