Michael Le This year alone, the reasonably celebrated COMME des GARÇONS institution had no shortage of standouts both on and off the runway. With their deconstructed Air Force 1s and forthcoming GEL-Lyte IIIs, the imprint already has a lot to look forward to including a two-part set of Dunk Lows that are thankfully planned to hit stores later this week. Arriving first as a Dover Street Market exclusive, the pairs bring along an expected premium price tag of $260 USD and a full women’s to men’s size run. Materials, which boast an aesthetic not too unlike that of Off-White’s Air Jordan 5, shade in a spectrum of black and grey whose variance depends solely on each panel’s individual opacity. And though much of the upper’s “overlays” are visually reduced to dimensional coloring, pieces of more substantial leather do apply at the heel with minimal screen printed branding — a stark contrast to one of the colorway’s loud all-over “cdg” print. Pared down with a more neutral and simple complement, the set is currently said to be releasing on May 14th at the aforementioned retailer while other partners are slated for further down the road.
In other news, another Travis Scott SB Dunk could be on the way.

CDG has revealed a list of retailers set to get pairs of the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Dunk Lows. There is no official release date as each shop is able to launch the product as they see fit.
