In honor of its 30th anniversary, Nike has flooded the market with a multitude of new colorways of the Air Max 90, but if there’s one thing to point out about its releases, it’s that although the numbers have ramped up, the collaborations have still kept relatively quiet. Aside from its re-crafted capsule with UNDEFEATED, the model only saw through to a handful of exclusive projects with the likes of UKNWN, EA Sports, and Playstation. However, it appears that that will soon change as set to join their company is Denham — a denim-focused fashion label based out of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Hot off the heels of previewing their forthcoming Air Max 1 and Air Max 95 collaborations, the Dutch jean experts are now diving into the classic Air Max 90 “Infrared” to put their own signature sauce on it. Vibrant molds present on the lacestays, midfoot windows, and midsoles are kept intact, but the uppers have been modified with base constructions crafted with tan ecru fabrics, while the overlays contrast with denim materials that alternate in shading between its lateral/medial walls. The heel panel has been reformatted with a corduroy-esque look, and the insoles have been remixed with Denham’s all-over scissor patterns. Grab a detailed look here, and find these dropping in the coming weeks for $160.
