Kyrie Irving won’t be stepping foot in Orlando as the 2019-20 NBA season resumes, but that hasn’t stopped the 28-year-old from working with The Swoosh to continue producing made-for-the-hardwood footwear. And while his sixth signature model is still enjoying a healthy number of releases, the Kyrie S2 Hybrid has arguably overshadowed it in the past month.
The mid-top silhouette – which combines elements of the Kyrie 4, 5, and 6 – recently emerged alongside Nike SB‘s “Sashiko Pack”, but now makes a statement on its own via a desert camoflogue-reminiscent arrangement. “Flytrap” lace covers from the Kyrie 5 indulge in a vibrant blue that appears in fainter shades across branding and collar lining; their surroundings are replete with disparate patterns that alternate between the Kyrie S2 Hybrid’s right and left shoes. Elsewhere, heels borrowed from the Kyrie 6 not only feature a tweaked icon, but also serve as a meeting point for all of this pair’s arguably clashing graphics and details. Underfoot, sole units proffer some semblance of order with their predominantly desert-like color scheme, though each shoe dons one-half of an eye-graphic near the forefoot.
No release date is still known, but this Kyrie S2 Hybrid is likely to arrive to Nike SNKRS in the coming months. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair here below.
