In the new decade, only a few new colorways of the Nike Tailwind 79 have seen the light of day, two of the latest to emerge being ones that depart from the usual nylon base constructions and instead replacing with a breathable mesh. But as we inch closer to Fall, it seems as though the retro silhouette is showing a desire to grow its family with a new seasonally-appropriate makeover.

Reverting back to its original materials, this particular rendition is predominantly presented with “Team Gold” bases, and surrounded by buttery “Starfish” suede overlays. To top it off, stark black complements through the leather-infused Swooshes/leather heel panels to complete an ensemble somewhat fitting for the forthcoming Halloween holiday.
