Due to the nature of popular taste, what comes into fashion often changes by the season and it’s likely we’ll see what’s uncool now resurface in just a few years’ time. Sneakers, by comparison, seems to run in parallel as retro styles from the late 90s to early 2000s have come back in force — the adidas FYW 98 among one of the many. And while it unveiled a small departure in palette more recently, the silhouette has since gotten back on track as its latest pairs together tones reminiscent of its original run.
The base coat is for the most part neutral, a white backdrop accented further by similarly muted notes as well as some sparing yet still loud use of color. The vintage insignia along the profile is broadened by green fill and orange outline, while the sized-up variation on the tongue prefers a more neutral visage of dark navy. The aforementioned warm tone makes its way atop the eye stay and vamp just a few spaces down, both an ornament to a neutral arrangement of beige leathers and light grey mesh.
