Invincible And N.HOOLYWOOD Reference Past Projects For Their New Balance 2002R

The redeveloped New Balance 2002R is gaining some considerable steam as one of 2020’s must-have silhouettes thanks to the attention brought to the model from some key collaborative partners spanning the globe. Next up is Asia-based retail boutique Invincible, which teams up with Japanese menswear label N.HOOLYWOOD to offer up one of the sharpest takes on this reworked classic.

Utilizing the iconic statement grey shade that has exemplified the NB brand, Invincible references the hairy suede used in their buttery New Balance 574 offering from years ago. It also ushers in another key material – namely the military-inspired ripstop material on its collaborative partners previous 996 project – to construct this 2002R. Additional branding is succinctly placed that the exterior toe-cap, while co-branded laces add an unexpected nuance to the model while giving its creators the official stamp.

The collaborative release is set to release exclusively at Invincible’s chapter stores in Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, and Chengdu on October 31st. It will also be available online on invinciblesp.com, with acceptance of raffle entries beginning on October 27th.
