Naked‘s relationship with adidas has grown dramatically in the years since their Ultra Boost from 2016. While a few of their offerings thereafter relied solely on co-branding, the two have slowly started to come into a retro-inspired aesthetic of their own, imbuing it into the frame of the Magmur Runner prior and soon the newly released Response CL.
Supported by premium Consortium construction, the collaboration — titled appropriately as “Mercury” — is intended for the bold, the silhouette accented with metallic silver overlays for the very first time since its debut. Subtle accents of blue and orange then apply adjacent, the latter dressing up the tongue’s branded fixtures as well as the heel while the former lies atop the eye stay and inside tongue. Elsewhere, white mesh lies underneath hits of synthetic leather and various panels of dark black, a shade that not only dyes the TPU stripes at the profile but also the lining, and much of the counter.
You can expect to find the Naked x adidas Consortium Response CL at Nakedcph.com later this week, November 6th, for a retail of 128 USD.
Also this week, the Craig Green adidas Kontuur III is seeing three DSM exclusive colorways.
