Not too many years ago, adidas Y-3 was on the top of their game, their flagship Qasa silhouette unquestionably among the hottest shoes at the time. But as the silhouette fell out of relevance, the sub-label unfortunately followed. However, as the past few seasons have proved, that never stopped the Yohji Yamamoto branded effort from trying as they’ve since debuted a number of interesting models like the archive-inspired Kaiwa.
Following a both a Triple Black and Khaki release, the model is ready to make its first 2021 appearance in a very classic Black/White colorway. The light, white shade is used right underfoot along the sole, its tread marked with a subtle rippling while the trim features bulbous, rotund molds hued entirely in black. The upper also dresses with the latter neutral, with near all of the fixtures — the nylon ripstop, waxed laces, tumbled leather overlays — colored in the very same characteristically understated fashion.
Grab a detailed look at these right here and expect to see them at adidas.com and select retailers for a retail of $400 USD very soon.
In other news, Virgil Abloh is apparently working on a “The 20” collection with Nike.
