All-Star Weekend is traditionally when LeBron James debuts the low-top style of his current signature shoe, but with the 2021 exhibition game officially cancelled for the season, we won’t be treated with the usual on-foot look during the shootarounds and media appearances. Instead, the LeBron 18 Low will be hitting retail on February 3rd (according to Finish Line release calendars) in this new “Fireberry” colorway that is contrasted with a chilly “Light Blue Fury” and black.
Unlike the LeBron 18, the LeBron 18 Low does not feature any Knitposite 2.0 uppers. but rather a mesh-like exterior with a molded/padded ankle. Thick taping with embedded cables (possibly Flywire) extended from the midfoot down to the fore-foot, providing that pure lockdown feel without added weight/materials. In fact, the shoe is completely unlike the LeBron 18 if not for the outsole unit. Quite frankly, the shoe appears on the level of the lower-priced options such as the Ambassador and Witness models.
As stated earlier, a release date for the LeBron 18 Low “Fireberry” is scheduled for February 3rd, 2021, but release dates could be postponed. In other LeBron news, the winner of the LeBron PE Vote Back winner has been announced – the “Gold Ceremony” LeBron 10.
