Michael Le Craig Green‘s relationship with adidas is one of the brand’s more eventful collaborations. Every season, the designer takes existing silhouettes and tweaks them to an imaginative degree, often coming out the other end with a product far distinct. Here, the ZX 2K Boost — herein named the ZX 2K Phormar — is parading its own transformation, with both a blue and white colorway set to release this month.
Though they may be distinct in palette, the two offerings flaunt an identical construction. See-through ripstop defines each pair’s exterior look, with darkened Three Stripes and lighter synthetics somewhat hidden underneath. Elsewhere, tension cords add Green’s signature aesthetic flair as they accessorize from the collar down to the lower heel. Lace toggles adjacent, then, add a touch of utility, while the partially encased Boost sole adds cushioning underfoot.
