Back in the Fall of last year, adidas Y-3 unveiled the Runner 4D IO, an innovative design that made use of the Three Stripes’ newest, most cutting edge cushioning. Tomorrow, the silhouette is arriving in a brand new Triple Black colorway that features slight changes to the overall construction.
Whereas the inaugural colorway covered itself in sheer white layers, this pair features a look far more unassuming and refined. But that doesn’t mean the layers are gone entirely; rather, they’re more visually evident as the sides extend onto the printed sole and the inner sockliner further separates itself from the exterior collar. The former, which wraps both the forefoot as well as the profile, bears thick, partially see-through mesh fabrics that shroud a much more breathable, open-knit variant. Branding, then, completes the pair in bright white, spelling out “Y-3” next to the adidas and Yohji Yamamoto names.

In other news, the Bad Bunny adidas Forum Low releases tomorrow.
