Throughout 2020, the Nike Air Max 90 emerged in dozens of colorways to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Scattered throughout, Tinker Hatfield’s iconic design also surfaced in made-for-golf styles, with the latest arriving in a neon green-accented arrangement partially made from recycled Nike Grind material.
Introduced via the Space Hippie collection, the Swoosh’s Grind component takes manufacturing floor scraps and converts them into a durable substance suitable for everything from upper paneling to outsole reinforcement at high-wear zones. On the forthcoming Air Max proposition, the multi-colored material serves as fortification for the ostensibly-knit greyscale upper. TPU components along the tongue, at the mid-foot and on the spine introduce faint “Volt” flair into the mix, with the Airbag’s enclosure underfoot and tread at the tip of the toe boasting the most-vibrant shades of the neon green color. Midsole foam don a light chambray-reminiscent tone, which is visible throughout the golf-ready tooling.
