This past week was brutal. After taking a quick L on the “Hyper Royal” Air Jordan 1s, we all definitely need a break. But sneaker culture isn’t so kind, and it looks like we have a rather eventful couple days ahead of us.
First, just before the stoner’s have their day, Nike is set to bring back the Huarache “Scream Green,” one of many to drop throughout the year. Then, once the clock hits midnight, 4/20 will have official kicked off– or, rather, lighted up. First thing in the morning, the South Park x adidas Campus “Towelie” will be up for grabs, and with the reception it’s been getting, it could very well be a tough W.
Thursday is when things really begin to pick up the pace. Especially in adidas’ case. Not only are they set to debut the Ultra Boost 6.0 but they’re also offering the FUTURECRAFT Loop to the public for the first time. New Balance and Jaden Smith are also getting busy, rivaling Aleali May and her own Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT. Friday is no slacker either. Following some Candyland and Brain Dead Reeboks, Nike SB will bring out their own marijuana-induced creation: the Dunk High Maui Wowie. And after you start feeling the munchies, the Eric Emanuel x adidas Forum Hi “McDonald’s All-American” may start looking extra tasty.
There are also a few standouts set to close us out on Saturday. Jordan Brand is to offer their Air Jordan 11 Legend Blue, Nike their Air Griffey Max 1 shaped homage to Jackie Robinson, and adidas Yeezy their Yeezy 700 Bright Blue and Yeezy 500 Enflame.
