Nike Adds UV Reactive Panels To This Icy-Soled Air Force 1

Nike Adds UV Reactive Panels To This Icy-Soled Air Force 1

Left on the backburner for quite some time, Nike’s themes of “Hot and Cold” are seemingly making their way to the spotlight yet again. Though it may deceive of its association upon first glance, the Air Force 1 here is undoubtedly an extension of the pack as it features UV reactive panels and some icy blues.

Even the pair’s extras are on-brand, delivering not only icicle-esque hang tags but also an insulated silver dust bag. The shoes themselves, however, aren’t quite as forthright with its inspiration. Tumbled white leathers lean on the tried-and-true, while the lace unit, lining, and the like follow a similar moderation. Only the dubrae and sole provide any sort of hint as they dress up in cooling tones. And though the pair’s qualities may seem to end there, once UV is directly applied, the Swoosh and heel tab turn a dark blue and deep red, respectively.

For a closer look at what’s in the package, check the official images below. A release should hit Nike‘s freezer aisle within the next few months.

Speaking of hot, the Vermilion Foam Runner is Yeezy’s “Red October.
