South Korea Gets A Nike Dunk Low

South Korea Gets A Nike Dunk Low

South Korea’s affinity for NIKE, Inc. isn’t anything new, pioneering terms like “Nike Boys/Girls” long before Travis Scott mentioned them on record. Over the last few years, however, the North American conglomerate has released a handful of products honoring the East Asian powerhouse, with the latest arriving in the form of a Nike Dunk Low.

Akin to 2018’s Air Jordan 3 “Seoul,” the forthcoming pair features the Taegukgi (태극기) on the tongue (left shoe). “NIKE” is spelled phonetically on the upper heel panels, with the remainder of the sneaker indulging in a predominantly “White/Black” color palette. As if its nod to South Korea wasn’t obvious enough with the country’s flag and hangul characters, the Dunk Low also boasts alternating red and blue flair across its profile swooshes and outsoles, the latter components sporting a semi-translucent finish. Unlike a previously-seen Air Presto, the brand’s latest ode to the cultural and technological powerhouse forgoes any image of the Siberian tiger, its national animal, in favor of a simple and straightforward arrangement.

Enjoy detailed imagery of the low-top Nike Dunk “South Korea” here below, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch before 2021 ends.

Elsewhere under the Swoosh umbrella, the Air Max 90 has recently emerged in a handful of summer-ready styles.
