With the return of the New Balance 550 and a contract with Kawhi Leonard, the NB’s basketball line has been developing an exciting roster of models. Adding to the lineup is an upcoming New Balance TWO WXY arrangement that opts for a sleek, “Steel” approach with the slightest hints of iridescence.

Since most already-revealed colorways of the FuelCell foam-cushioned silhouette sport an array of vibrant hues, the pair’s tonal grey build arrives as much of a surprise. The embroidered maze-esque lines on the sides flaunt a light aqua shade that complements the cool-toned uppers. On the toe, an iridescent film-like overlay is applied to add a subtle shine and a multidimensional look to the style. Hits of red applied on the tongue area and the heel pull tab add just the right amount of boldness to complete the futuristic look.
