Over the past year, the pandemic has made pursuing world travel difficult. In collaboration with Saucony once again, Melbourne-based retailer Up There is daring wearers of the Saucony Shadow 6000 “Doors To The World” to reminisce and dream about past and future travel plans. The collaborative design takes inspiration from Europe’s colorful doors and tiles to bring the wonders of sightseeing onto your very feet.
Suede in an olive shade dubbed “Four Leaf Clover” dominates the upper of the mixed-materials style. In contrast, the toe box and quarter panels are constructed of white mesh. Unexpectedly, hot pink iridescent leather is introduced into the mix by the iconic “S” logos on the sides that wrap around the heel. To further the theme of travel, passport-inspired motifs are stamped onto the suede tongue and the insoles. A sleek white midsole with gum applied underfoot completes the whimsical design.
Take a closer look at the Shadow 6000 below, which is available now at Up There and will be released globally on June 21 at a price of $197.
