Jasmine Tang In 1994, the Reebok Instapump Fury shook the sneaker scene with its aggressive silhouette and neon “Citron” colorway. Almost three decades later, the slip-on style has not lost a single drop of its charm and continues to experiment with loud color-blocking, ditsy patterns, and unique textures. For an upcoming pack, the model is getting fitted in two full-denim builds to deliver rather toned-down looks for the silhouette.
Consisting of navy and black pairs, the collection covers the Instapump Fury’s base in jean materials. The plush neoprene overlays, although not denim, are tinted in a single shade to match the base. These overlays also exhibit gold contrast stitching details that mimic the look of denim apparel. Furthermore, the red stitches on the tongue’s and heel’s pull loops are a reference to selvedge denim. To complete the design, an EVA outsole in white breaks away from the rest of the shoe’s monochrome appearance.
