Nike has long been offering a plethora of footwear styles for fans to further delve into their own sense of style and self-expression. Among these styles is the Nike Air Force 1/1—an ultra-customizable take on the timeless Nike Air Force 1 that uses velcro overlays and patches. This new model continues to expand its roster by adding a GS-exclusive option that includes “Bright Crimson” accents and space-themed graphics.
At first glance, this new AF 1/1 appears to be a simple, triple-black Air Force 1. A closer look reveals the toebox, profile Swooshes, and heel tab to be removable, velcro-backed elements. To personalize the pair, wearers can choose to use the two pairs of “Bright Crimson” Swooshes and the space travel-inspired appliques. The graphic appliques include a basketball-shaped planet, an astronaut’s head, a comet, and Nike logos that are stylized similarly to the text found on digital equipment for outer space exploration. As a result, Nike has crafted yet another sleek design for the youth to have fun with—especially at a young age where creativity and self-expression are heavily encouraged.
