With its “Silver Bullet” colorway and a matching gold pair, the Nike Air Max 97 has a number of metallic designs that play with lustrous and reflective materials. The glitzy offerings continue—but with a twist—as the Max Air silhouette will soon see gold cracked foil leathers.
While half of the uppers see a gold mesh build and matching reflective overlays, the remaining half experiences a rather weathered look. For added texture, the latter half opts for a cracked foil style that incorporates hits black leather. A black mesh tongue and sockliner further contrast the golds that dominate the upper. As usual, a white midsole and full-length Air unit round out the model for a new take on metallics.
Take a closer look at the Air Max 97 below, which will hit Nike.com in the near future at a price of $170.
In other Swoosh-related news, a hint of pink earns a spot on the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 “Toasty.”
