With its latest appearance, the Nike Air Max Plus is drawing from its performance roots. Dubbed “AMRC” in nod to the “Air Max Running Club,” the pair strings together retro-styled branding and a colorway just as vintage-inspired.
Red quickly sets the tone, dressing the TPU throughout the upper and the suede trims that frame from edge to edge. Underneath, the base is rendered fully in blue, matching that of the Air Units underfoot. Elsewhere, the midsole and lace unit appear vintage in their “Sail” hue, while the Swoosh and outsole opt for louder gilded luxury. In terms of the branding, the silhouette receives two additional hang tags: the medial spells out “BVRTN, OR” in celebration of the Nike HQ, while the lateral delivers more simple “AMRC” text. What’s more, the tongue’s own font is made just slightly bolder, ensuring it stands out from the removable label adjacent.

In other news, the Air Jordan 1 Mid Reverse Bred has just surfaced.
