Jovani Hernandez NIKE, Inc. is currently on the mission of becoming carbon neutral. Although the company has made changes to its retail and corporate spaces to reflect its “Move to Zero” initiative, it’s also done so on the product front. Recently, the Nike Air Max 90 has appeared in four “Black” and “White” color combinations under the Next Nature banner, which indicates the pairs are constructed from least 20% recycled materials.
Reserved relative to most previous ensembles, the forthcoming quartet delivers versatile, year-round options. Two of the four pairs opt for a uniform monochromatic arrangement, whereas their remaining counterparts combine the “yin-and-yang”-reminiscent hues to create simple, but partly-contrasting makeups. Air Max units across all four styles follow their respective pair’s predominant theme, as does branding throughout the upper. Swoosh-wheel logos on the sock-liner denote the sneakers as partly-recycled, which builds on Nike Sportswear’s already-existing efforts. Unlike previously-seen offerings, however, no Nike Grind material appears on the outsole.
