NIKE, Inc. began as a company looking to push the boundaries within the competitive running space. Over the last 57 years, the North American conglomerate has made breakthroughs across all sports, but running maintains a core position in its plan.
Through the Nike Air Max Running Club collection, the Swoosh has harkened back to decades-past, when group sport might’ve been more prevalent. Outfitting models like the Air Max 97 with vibrant color palettes and vintage detailing, the brand is making what’s “old” “new” again. The latest proposition delivers an eye-catching tan, burnt orange and rich blue color combination paired with thematic graphics and accents. Exposed foam tongues, which aren’t traditionally found on the AM 97, don old-school “NIKE AIR”-branding; “AMRC” and “BVRTN, OR” tabs on the lateral profiles also opt for an aged aesthetic. Elsewhere, sock-liners feature a collection-specific graphic, while swoosh pendants appear on the laces. The sole unit underfoot couples its full-length Air Max bubble with an outsole covered in ruby-colored flair.
Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and anticipate a Nike.com launch on November 18th.
