This Kids’ Air Jordan 1 Mid Brings Back The “Schematic” Theme

A little over two years ago, Nike showed a sudden interest in the design of the Air Max 1 itself. Under the “Schematic” theme, the brand denoted the shoe’s construction down to the millimeter. Though not quite as detailed, this upcoming kids’ Air Jordan 1 Mid offers what is effectively the collection’s spiritual successor.

Though lacking exact measurements, the pair mirrors the original in many other ways. For starters, it’s foundationally built of white leathers, laying a neutral base like that of paper. Black etchings, then, run replete throughout, explicitly pointing out fixtures like the toe, collar, quarter, and even the Swoosh. And while much of the paneling is kept intact, the latter is removed entirely, replaced with a thick, hastily drawn outline.
