Sneaker News Following the success of their Towelie-themed Campus 80, South Park and adidas are teaming up once again for a larger body of offerings. Exactly a week ago, Stan Marsh appeared by way of the Stan Smith, his signature garb reflected in the silhouette’s leathers. And here, the Superstar follows a similar approach, though it draws instead from Kyle Broflovski’s clothing of choice.
Kyle’s bright green ushanka, which is undoubtedly his most defining characteristic, serves as the one of the shoe’s many inspirations. It, though subtle, is present atop the stripes’ and heel tab’s fleece, whose shades are far lighter than the leather underneath, a backdrop that reflects the character’s own trousers. Pops of orange, then, outfit the lace unit and tongue, the latter of which is given pockets in more explicit nod to the daywalker’s utility jacket.
