The “Nike Athletic Club” Collection Adds A Letterman Look To The Air Force 1 Low

The “Nike Athletic Club” Collection Adds A Letterman Look To The Air Force 1 Low

In addition to high-profile collaborations, the Nike Air Force 1‘s 40th anniversary celebration is set to include in-line collections. Among them, the retro-inspired “Nike Athletic Club” roster.

Also featuring other Nike Sportswear classics like the Air Huarache and Air Max 90, the forthcoming collection has recently delivered a “LT Smoke Grey” and “Hyper Royal” makeup onto the low-top version of Bruce Kilgore’s famed 1982 design. High-quality suede covers most of the sneaker’s upper, with profile swooshes interrupting in both material and color scheme. Non-standard “AF-1”-branding on the upper heel panel indulge in a vibrant blue tone that harkens back to sportswear of decades past (namely varsity jackets). The collection’s name is stamped onto the top of the tongue and on the sock-liner, as with other entries. Underfoot, sole units further nod to the past with their predominantly “Sail” styling.

Enjoy official images of the pair here below, and anticipate a launch via Nike.com come springtime.

In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 3 is set to launch in a handful of new colorways before 2022 ends.
