Michael Le With his departure from ACG, Errolson Hugh seemingly put an end to his relationship with Nike. And it felt like that was the case up until 2021, the year leakers reported that the ARCONYM designer was working on not one but two colorways of the Blazer Low.
On-foot looks of the collaboration wouldn’t surface until months later, though, when Hugh gallantly walked the streets of Paris Fashion Week. This glimpse more than confirmed what rumors had previously suggested, as the shoe dons an interchangeable exo-skeleton, its shape and color not unlike the design of the mecha genre’s most notable. Forward, the rest of the upper is meticulously cut, revealing black and white neutrals underneath the “Black” and “Night Maroon” colorways, respectively. And while the former keeps a tighter, more organized arrangement, the latter opts for one louder, accenting the Swoosh, lining, and tongue in additional neons.

Elsewhere at Nike, the Air Force 1 Mid Panda is a more literal interpretation of the black/white colorway.
