Sneaker News This attractive yellow-cream tone has been popping up quite often on Nike Sportswear footwear, a sign that even the Swoosh can’t get away from the trend of vintage look-a-like footwear. This Air Max 97 clearly goes heavy on the tone as the entirety of the upper and the midsole is totally flooded with the color, only to be interrupted by by hits of black on the tongue, heel, interior lining, and outsole.
The construction of the upper is a clean mix of premium leather at mudguard, suede on the upper tracks, and light mesh as the base layer, while the Swoosh is darkened with a greyish-tan. We’re hoping these are just the tip of the iceberg for the Air Max 97, a silhouette that is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2022.
