BSTN Honors European Basketball Heritage With The adidas Forum ’84

As one of the premier sportswear boutiques in Europe, BSTN has been at the forefront of collaborations with some of the most important players in the space. Beyond simply covering pairs like the adidas Forum ’84 in compelling colorways, the German institution has capitalized on its partnerships to tell stories.

Recently, BSTN has unveiled the latest chapter of its European Basketball Heritage Series, which began in November 2020. For its latest proposition, the Hamburg-headquartered retailer has drawn inspiration from two overseas powerhouses: Panathinaikos B.C.and Jugoplastika Split. In addition to covering both the low and high-top versions of the aforementioned adidas Originals shoe in heritage-informed green and white and gold and black color combinations, BSTN has injected a number of hidden details into its latest adidas-backed projects: embroidered six stars represent Panathinaikos B.C.’s record six EuroLeague championships on the Forum ’84 Low, while the Forum ’84 High features a special loop label at the heel and team branding on the ankle. Together, both upcoming sneakers commemorate how the beloved sport – and the culture surrounding it – has evolved across the pond.
