Sneaker News Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, Kasina has linked up with Nike once again to deliver the story of an age-old Korean custom through 2022’s darling – the Air Max 1. Inspired by the Won-Ang Ducks, a set of carved wooden ducks gifted to newlywed couples, Kasina has transformed the Air Max 1 in two ways by applying traditional colors and materials that represent good fortune, titling the project “Made To Be Together”.
Both colorways have been revealed piecemeal on Instagram through friends and family who received early pairs, but Kasina has taken to Instagram to make the official announcement after leaking tidbits of a lookbook that place the shoes in the duck’s wild habitat. The harmony between the concept and the design is clear as Kasina once again boasts its impeccable taste while applying their custom logo on the tongue label.
A Kasina-exclusive release is currently scheduled for June 4th, while a SNKRS release will go down on June 8th. Stay tuned for full release details.
