Historically, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has been the more experimental trim of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker. The trend continues with a newly-surfaced, hologram-donning pair for kids.
Akin to a previously-seen Air Jordan 1 Low, the upcoming retro indulges in a mostly black and white color scheme across its Peter Moore-designed body. The color-blocking resembles that found on a panda-friendly, original pair of the first Air Jordan release (which is rumored to return in 2023). A shifting image of #23 himself replaces traditional swoosh branding at the lateral profile, depicting the Chicago Bulls legend in full 1990s glory. Jumpman logos at the top of the tongue boast a “Concord”-reminiscent hue, while the remainder of the pair keeps to the aforementioned two-tone style. Lastly, the Preschool offering features a non-standard pull tab at the heel for easier on-and-off functionality.
Enjoy official images of the sneakers ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch before 2022 ends.
