Pastels And Gum Soles Land On This Nike Air Max 97 “Certified Fresh”

Pastels And Gum Soles Land On This Nike Air Max 97 “Certified Fresh”

Over the course of the last few months, Nike has stamped the phrase “Certified Fresh” atop many of their classics, starting with the Air Force 1, Dunk, and Blazer. And soon, the collection will welcome a number of new silhouettes into the fold, including but likely not limited to the Air Max 97.

Despite falling under the same umbrella, no two pairs from the collection are entirely identical. The same is true here: while this Air Max 97 may indulge in pastels all the same, it plays with these light greens and blues in different ways, applying them across the shoe’s branding, laces, and layers of suede. These are then balanced out by an arrangement of neutrals, with grey outfitting the mudguard, gum the outsole, and a light cream the midsole and much of the upper.
