The Air Jordan 1 Low “Bordeaux” Borrows An Outfit From Its Older Sibling

It’s not uncommon to see Air Jordan 1 colorways get transferred across models, because more often than not, if it works well on one version, it’ll do just fine on another. Such is the case with this upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low that clearly takes a page out of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Bordeaux” of 2021.

It applies a dark red upper, white base layer, and a light grey Swoosh logo for a nearly identical look, but there are some key differences between the low-cut model in comparison to the more coveted High. First off, these are built with a full-grain leather, opposed to the suede used in the co.jp inspired take. Secondly, the Swoosh logo is finished with a matte look, whereas the originator opts for a metallic sheen. In fact, the upper shade could be more of a Team Red than a Bordeaux as it skews away from wine-shaded hues.
