Team Red Mudguards Appear In On The Nike Air Max 97

The Air Max 97 has taken full advantage of the Summer, using the downtime the season provides to unveil a wide range of upcoming colorways. And among them is this newly-surfaced “Team Red” colorway, a pair sure to hit the shelves within the next few months.

In July alone, the Air Max 97 has drawn inspiration from Koi fish, iconic Air Max 1s, and even the ever-beloved Letterman Jacket. Here, though, the sneaker proffers a more simple look, one clad in what looks to be ballistic nylon. Said synthetic serves as the vehicle for the titular “Team Red,” while the rest of the construction — which are primarily built with mesh and leather — opt for a clean black look.

Enjoy a detailed look at these Air Max 97s via the official images below. A firm release date has not yet been shared, but these are likely to pop up on Nike.com and at select retailers soon.

In other news, the Air Jordan 2 Low Cherrywood lands this December.
