Jared Ebanks While Jalen Brunson was drawn away to the Big Apple in free agency, the Dallas Mavericks retooled their roster for its prolonged future with Luka Doncic, trading for Christian Wood and drafting G League Ignite alum Jaden Hardy to share the backcourt with The Don. While expectations remain high for the three-time All-Star entering his fifth year in the League, he’ll be accompanied by a myriad of Jordan Luka 1’s that Jumpman continues to delve out just a few weeks away from the start of the 22-23 season.
Mirroring the aesthetic painted unto his Air Jordan 36 PE, the latest Luka 1 draws inspiration from the future Hall of Famer’s uniquely effective style of play on the court and vibrant personality off of it. Dominated by a heavy sampling of “Racer Blue”, the stitched forefoot construction proffers ever so slight purple threading that’s color-matched through the smooth perforated tongue and plush heel tab. Further explorations of the color palette come by way of “Ghost Green” heel tabs, embroidered insignias and Jumpman logos, additionally treating the forefoot’s tread while a “Racer Pink” heel counter brightens the established tonal spectrum. Adjacent to its thin nylon laces, baby blues provide seldom touches along the midsoles molded embellishments fitted with speckles of the presiding hot pink tone whereas the concluding collection of bold tints fills the tread.
While no release date information has been shared just yet, in the meantime enjoy official images of the Jordan Luka 1 “Racer Blue” below.
For more under The Swooshes umbrella, a “Black” and “Faded Spruce” aesthetic appears on the Nike Air Max Penny.
