LeBron James’ on-court storytelling has recently drove The Swoosh to not only provide the retro treatment to his past constructions, but to additionally outfit its heralded lifestyle silhouettes in branded sequels. Following the Nike Dunk Low’s expression of the four-time champions love for “Fruity Pebbles”, the Air Max 1 is taking a page out of the LeBron 9 Low’s “Reverse Liverpool” book.
Paying tribute to The King’s 2011 purchase of a 2% stake in the organization – which has since grown to a $32 million investment – the upcoming proposition flips back the reverse aesthetic seen on the September release of the LeBron 9 Low. Shifting the team’s synonymous teal greens to the darker realm of the color spectrum, the latter outfits the midfoot and heel counter’s overlay debossed with Fenway Sports Group and “You’ll Never Walk Alone” insignias, while its cracked leather panel below comes anchored in a jet-black treatment.
Color-matched along the Swooshes and L.F.C. branded insoles, a crisp white mesh envelops the base sections of the model including its vamp and tongue construction. Amidst a clad-cream sole unit and speckled green tread underfoot, the Club’s synonymous “Action Red” accent lays claim to the exposed Air Bag alongside its adjacently placed sock liner in conclusion.
Expected to release next month, in the meantime enjoy official images of the LeBron James x Nike Air Max 1 “Liverpool” below.
