Jared Ebanks While Derrick Rose does his work nowadays in the adidas D. Rose Son of Chi, The Three Stripes has continued to employ the restomod treatment onto the 2011 MVP’s ankle-supported adidas D. Rose 1.5. Having proffered a handful of original colorways fit with updated tooling for todays game, the latest construction indulges in an outfit perfect for both home and away games as the New York Knicks back-up point guard.
Establishing a seldom crisp white toe cap, the surrounding Sprintframe overlays and its paneled Sprintskin indulge in dominantly treated royal blue upper, accented subtly through its titular orange mesh underneath while further emanating at the collar’s padding and branded tongue tab. Color-matching the bright blue hue across its tongue construction, laces and tumbled leather heel counter, the synonymous Knickerbocker orange is harkened to clothe the latter’s vertical three stripes before concluding with a speckled arrangement across its Lightstrike midsole. Underfoot, the Puremotion tread brightens the overall aesthetic with the toe caps colorless hue while “Big Apple” motifs affixed with a number 4 lay claim to the insoles.
