While Air Max Day remains a few weeks away, the Beaverton brand has already begun preparing for the festivities with an increased run of their staple cushioning solution, such as this wash of “Freshwater” across the Nike Air Max 90.

Taking design cues from the alternate “Mariners”-treated Nike Air Max Griffey 1, vibrant teal accents lay claim to the silhouette’s horizontally ridged embellishments; including its initial quarter overlay, heel tab, the base of its “AIR MAX” branding while additionally surrounding the translucent Air Max bubble underfoot. While the pair’s use of a crisp white base layer, matching laces and tongue construction differentiates itself from Griffey’s tooling, a light grey overlay pairs with a shadow grey Swoosh before jet-black hues envelop the model’s mainstay overlay and sectioned tread.

While we sit tight on further release details, enjoy official images of the Nike Air Max 90 “Freshwater” below in the meantime.
