There’s no apparent stoppage to the recent influx of women’s exclusive New Balance 550 colorways, and given the silhouette’s persistent relevance to female footwear trends, we don’t anticipate it slowing down soon.

This just in: another New Balance 550 has appeared in a simple two-tone blocking, shedding any use of suedes and colorful hues in favor of the retro collegiate look. A full white leather upper is matched with a dark navy blue/obsidian shade, with the midsole extending the white upper. After a few wears and some natural yellowing this upcoming release is certainly reminiscent of the initial batch of drops purveyed by Aimé Leon Dore, is it not?

As we’ve seen lately, women’s New Balance 550 releases have been appearing on retail shelves and on newbalance.com without any announcement or firm release dates, with prices floating between $110 or $120.
