Though they may be heading in a new direction, adidas Basketball has not lost any touch with their roots. Throughout the upcoming year, the Three Stripes — along with ushering in new signatures and brand new designs — are bringing back many a past model, such as the much-lauded Crazy 8. What’s more, the FYW Intimidation will be returning once again for 2023, this time with a little bit of help from Packer Shoes.
The adidas FYW Intimidation, which was briefly revived back in 2020, should feel familiar to fans of the Yeezy 500, as the latter borrowed the sole unit from the ’90s trainer. Above, though, the design is far and away distinct, boasting a language akin to the greater FYW ethos. Here, under Packer’s direction, the silhouette is clad in two contemporary stylings: one pair dresses its suede collar in a light grey and bottom half in off-white tones; its counterpart casts the TPU cage in silver, dresses the mesh fixtures and sole in darker neutrals, and brushes a deep burgundy across the more premium materials.
A long time coming according to the team, the Packer Shoes x adidas FYW Intimidation is releasing right in time for the Spring/Summer ’23 season. More details are sure to surface very soon, so sit tight and stay tuned for further updates.
