Nike Sportswear’s Icon collection has produced pairs like the Nike Air Max 90 inspired by the Air Max 97’s original “Silver Bullet” style.
While not a carbon-copy of the debut Air Max 97, the latest take on Tinker Hatfield’s 33-year-old design features a similar color-blocking and palette. Profile swooshes opt for vibrant red flair, while surrounding overlays don silver metallic finishes. TPU components around the tongue and at the heel deviate in stark black contrast that helps connect the two Air Max icons. Underfoot, sole units favor a mostly white arrangement, although the waffle-patterned tread rounds out the style with hits of black and red.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for firm nike.com release details.
