The Nike Air Max Plus Crafts Its Own Homage To Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse

feature image

After much anticipation, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is now only a little less than two months out from its premiere. And while Jordan Brand is more than prepared, having crafted yet another collaborative Air Jordan 1, Nike have not yet begun to celebrate. That all seems to change with this Air Max Plus, however, as the silhouette is dressing up in a colorway reminiscent of the suits worn by our titular heroes.

Compared to the above-mentioned Air Jordan 1, this Nike Air Max Plus is a much less official nod to the film. What’s more, the design is far more tame, forgoing the aforementioned release’s multiverse-inspired elements. Instead, the pair presents a grounded nod to the Spider-Men of the film, conjuring to mind images of not only Miles Morales but also Miguel O’Hara, the web-slinger of 2099. Echoing the look of their suits, the shoe applies black neutrals to its base in near entirety, while painting over top its upper and shank with hits of red and blue.

Appearing first in GS sizes, this Nike Air Max Plus should be available at Nike.com and at select retailers soon. As we await a firm release date, sit tight and enjoy a look at the official images ahead.

If you much prefer Jordan Brand’s take, new images of the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Air Jordan 1 have recently surfaced.
