Pusha T and his adidas partnership had hit a sort of standstill over the majority of the last year. The Virginia-native’s “Cokechella” performance on April 14, however, teased something to look forward to: an adidas Supernova Cushion 7 under the “Thorn” umbrella.
Back in January, Terrence LeVarr Thornton teased an exclusive pair of the adidas Samba during Paris Fashion Week. Although the sneaker didn’t introduce much in terms of color-blocking or build, it unveiled a new “Thorn” logo. The same branding hit appears on the retro running sneaker Pusha T wore during Coachella 2023’s opening day.
The 2000s design features a bevy of cues rooted in turn-of-the-century performance footwear. Mesh bases set the stage for plastic 3-Stripes on the sides, as well as other materials across the upper. Busy, the top-half indulges in a mostly white and black color scheme, although a rich blue animates the aforementioned mesh pieces. The robust adiPRENE+ cushioning, Formotion, and adiWEAR sole unit keeps things in-line with the upper’s simple color combination. “Thorn” logos land on the spine, suggesting Pusha T has a sub-label à la adidas Hu in the works.
