Jared Ebanks Sewn directly from the hardwood, the New Balance 550 has only continued to stretch further and further from its clad-leather origins. From distressed detailing to suede uppers, the Basketball Oxford now readies a trio of ensembles cast in neutral bases.
Returning to its dominant leather construction, the silhouettes all come dipped in light “Sail” hues that coat everything from the soft collar lining to its perforated mid-foot panel. The chosen accents take a back seat to the tonal treatment with green, blue or grey enveloping the tongue logos, ankle overlay and trim of the “N” logo before finishing alongside opposing ends of the tread underfoot.
