Jovani Hernandez Christian Tresser’s iconic Nike Air Max 97 is no longer celebrating its 25th anniversary, but it continues to appear in brand new styles.
Recently, the silhouette appeared in a mostly-covert color scheme. Panels around the upper take on a soft fabric that sets the stage for animated floral patterns via the vamp overlays. The contrasting combination makes for another lifestyle take on the once-pinnacle-of-performance-running-model. Laces and miniature swooshes on the mid-foot deviate in a stark white finish that complements the midsole; Air Max bubbles opt for a cream-colored coat that falls il line with the gum brown outsole underfoot. All together, the aforementioned components help expand the legacy of one of Nike’s most important designs of the last 30 years.
