For over 30 years The Swoosh has experimented with the versatile design options available to the archival Nike Air Max 90. Hundreds of textures and colorway combinations have graced the Tinker Hatfield design while none can rival the pair’s iconic monochrome palette.
Here, the future-forward performance running solution from the early 90s assumes its staple black, grey and white color blocking infused with a seldom “Lavender” treatment that’s ready to shine throughout the summer months. While the placement of the aforementioned hues remains indifferent to the model’s OG “Infrared” and “Neon” efforts, the aesthetic is assumed all the same as dark grey suede overlays and rubberized eye stays darken the crisp white mesh base layer. Clarifying jet-black shades embark upon the tongue construction and leather mid-foot panel before closing out the heel tab branding. Elsewhere, the pastel-based purple injects a titular flair around the Air Max bubble underfoot while additionally engaging the Swooshes and accompanying Air Max insignia.
Release details haven’t been shared quite yet, so in the meantime enjoy official images of the Nike Air Max 90 “Lavender” below.
In other news from the Beaverton brand, a clad-“Sail” Air Jordan 4 featuring golden metallic accents is currently in the works for a Spring 2024 release.
