The Nike Air Max 97 Dresses Up Like The Caped Crusader

Though likely inadvertent, Nike often delivers styles reminiscent of some of the most prolific comic book superheroes of all-time. This newly-revealed Air Max 97 is no exception, as its colors conjure to mind images of DC’s Caped Crusader.

Over the years, Batman has dressed up in many a different suit, some ballistic and others more true to his comic book run. This upcoming Air Max 97 essentially creates its own interpretation, all the while staying true to the Dark Knight’s iconic look. Here, dark grey shades are brushed along the suede panels and midsole, while blacked-out leather trims and details complement both above and below. A dark yellow, then, rounds out the colorway, highlighting the ripstop unders as well as the textile tongue.
